Bulbophyllum falcatum is a truly special orchid! It originally comes from West Africa and always blooms from March to May. The small yellow flowers are arranged on both sides of a brown inflorescence, which looks a bit like a sword. The brown and yellow of the flowers really contrast beautifully with the green of the leaves! But it's not just the flowers that are special, but also the way they grow: they keep forming new bulbs and practically crawl along the cork board. Bulbophyllum falcatum is very easy to care for and reliably forms flowers every spring.

Cocoon Orchids combine a concept of simply admiring extraordinary orchids at home or in the office. In keeping with their epiphytic lifestyle, the orchids grow on a piece of cork and are therefore very easy to care for. The glass protects the plants from drafts or heating air and creates a perfect microclimate. Due to the breathtaking diversity of the Cocoon Orchids, there are different orchids in bloom every month. Thanks to the natural selection, they bloom reliably in their season without you having to do anything special. Have fun discovering the exciting world of orchids!

The gravel layer filled with water ensures ideal humidity inside the glass and cools the plant. The orchids grow on a cork board in their natural way of life and show a small section of the orchids' original epiphytic way of life. Watering the plant once a week is sufficient. The Aquastick® connects the Cocoon Orchid and the gravel layer and supplies the plant with the remaining water from the gravel layer, making watering the plants much easier. The amount of water remaining can greatly influence the watering interval. So, after a generous watering, you can go on holiday with a clear conscience without having to worry about your charges. The Cocoon Orchids are slim and much cleaner than a conventional potted plant because they do not need any substrate.
